1. Make smaller rooms feel larger by painting them in softer and lighter

colors.

Painting the drawing room with light colors and adding large windows and mirrors will make the

room feel large.Conversely painting them in dark colors will make it feel cramped and smaller.

2. Add light to your living space by using mirrors

Adding mirrors in small space will make it feel larger. Mirrors can also help in large rooms which

get a limited amount of light by adding more light if placed directly opposite across from the

windows. You can also add some decorative mirrors to suit your needs.

 

3. Add your personality to your rooms

One of the most important aspects of designing your room is to inject your personality into it because

after all you are the one who’ll be living in it. Keep an old family heirloom beside a modern

furniture if you wish. Don’t let anyone tell you that it doesn’t match with it. New or old, things you

love should stay together.

Slip are truly wonderful things. You can change your furniture’s look to reflect the seasons. You

don’t have to worry constantly about people dirtying or spilling on your furniture as you can easily

Wicker baskets are a cheap and elegant way to add extra storage to your room. Placing a

couple of wicker basket in your kitchen on top of the counter can help you to display neatly and

store fruits and vegetables

You don’t need to go out and buy stuff for decorating all the time. We usually have all the things

we need to be packed away somewhere in our house. You can use normal items like

plates to create a wonderful wall art by hanging them on the walls. You can hang art from

children’s book in their rooms , nurseries or their bathrooms. It’s amazing what you can do with

what you have already.

 

7. Decorate your kitchen.

Make your kitchen warm and inviting. Add a hanging pot rack for elegance. We rarely do anything

other than preparing or serving meals in the kitchen. By adding a hanging pot rack in the kitchen

, you can also free up cupboard space and use it to store other items.

 

8. Add plants.

Add some decorative plants to your living space , small or large. Plants help to elevate the mood

in your room by adding color and texture. They also help to balance humidity and keep household

air clean by absorbing pollutants and removing harmful gases.

 

9. Retouch your book case.

Painting your book case can bring it to life.

Bookcases are ideal to retouch and modify because you don’t need to change a large space.It’s a

simple and inexpensive way to transform a boring place into something beautiful. You can also

paint fireplace mantels ,ceilings hallways and the inside of closets.

 

10. Soften hardwood floors by using rugs.

Throw rugs can add a different personality to your room and radiate warmth and comfort.

Hardwood floors lack the comfort offered by rugs , especially during the winter. Showcase your

character by adding area rugs of different patterns and fabric together . You can also change

them according to seasons. There are endless possibilities.

  1. These interior design tips will come in handy now that I’m decorating my house. Your second tip for adding light to rooms by using mirrors will be great for my living room. It feels a bit dark, even though there are a couple of windows in my living room. Placing mirrors directly across from my windows seems like a genius idea for spreading light.
